Hi, I’m Nicole Mullen. I’m building my path in cybersecurity with a strong interest in GRC, security operations, OSINT, digital forensics, and research-focused work. I recently earned my Bachelor of Applied Science in Cybersecurity from St. Petersburg College, and I’m continuing my education through the University of Central Florida’s M.S. in Digital Forensics program, with an expected graduation date of 2027.

This portfolio is a place for me to share the projects, certifications, and skills I’ve been building as I grow in the field.

Cybersecurity has been part of my life for a long time. My dad has worked in the field for more than 15 years helping organizations mitigate cyber risk, and my mom was one of the first women in her class to graduate with a computer science degree. My brother is also a computer engineering graduate, so technology was always something that felt familiar and interesting to me.

Before transitioning into cybersecurity, I worked in operations-focused roles that helped me build strong skills in organization, communication, documentation, and problem solving. Those are the same strengths I bring into security work now. What I like most about cybersecurity is that it combines structure, research, critical thinking, and practical impact. I’m excited to keep learning, keep building, and grow into work that aligns with my interests in GRC, security analysis, digital forensics, and research-driven cybersecurity.
