about me
Hi, I’m Nicole Mullen. I’m building my path in cybersecurity with a strong interest in GRC, security operations, OSINT, and research-focused work. This portfolio is a place for me to share the projects, certifications, and skills I’ve been working on as I grow in the field.
Cybersecurity has been part of my life for a long time. My dad has worked in the field for more than 15 years helping organizations mitigate cyber risk, and my mom was one of the first women in her class to graduate with a computer science degree. My brother is also a computer engineering graduate, so technology was always something that felt familiar and interesting to me.
Before transitioning into cybersecurity, I worked in operations-focused roles that helped me build strong skills in organization, communication, and problem solving. Those are the same strengths I bring into security work now. What I like most about cybersecurity is that it combines structure, research, critical thinking, and practical impact. I’m excited to keep learning, keep building, and grow into work that aligns with my interests in GRC, security analysis, and research-driven cybersecurity.
